Governor slated to open first Global 21 conference May 13

Idaho Trust National Bank, Boise, plans to present the first Global 21 International Business and Investment Conference from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. May 13 at Boise Centre on the Grove.

Conference topics will include resources that businesses can use to integrate into the global market and that investors can use to take advantage of international investment opportunities, according to information supplied by Idaho Trust.
Idaho Gov. C.L. Butch Otter is scheduled to deliver the opening address, on Idaho business in world markets.
Other events include:
• International Business Resources Panel (Amy Benson of the U.S. Dept. of Commerce and Damien Bard of the Idaho Department of Commerce)
• Real World Perspective Panel (Jay Longwell of Stratus Global Partners and Ed Meyers of Rodenator)
• Presentation by Idaho Trust Chief Investment Officer Kenneth Lamson, Chartered Financial Analyst (Integrating International Opportunities into Your Investment Portfolio)
• Luncheon keynote speech by Mike Ruff of Russell Investments (world economic conditions)
Leah Raymond, client concierge for Idaho Trust, said conference organizers aim to attract about 125 people, and that the event can accommodate 150 easily.
The Idaho Business Review is a co-sponsor.
Registration costs $25. All proceeds will be directed to the Idaho Trust Global 21 Scholarship for business education at Boise State University.
