- A Canadian newspaper is reporting that Iogen Corp. remains undecided whether it will put its resources into Canada or return to the United States and Idaho Falls.
Iogen seeks funding to build a cellulosic ethanol plant in North America, but according to the
Prince Albert Daily Herald, company officials have yet to reach a decision about where it will build a plant.
According to news reports, the choice was between Idaho and Birch Hills (Canada). So the question remains, where and when will it be decided, since a company spokeswoman said the work in Idaho Falls is “suspended.”
- Idaho Preferred and the state Department of Agriculture have launched a new ad campaign for Idaho foods. Television commercials reminding consumers of Idaho’s bounty began this week. Products pushed include lamb, beef, salads, fruits, cheese and Idaho wines.
