The Ada County Planning and Zoning Commission voted two in favor and two opposed to the long-debated Dry Creek Ranch planned community on Thursday.
With the deadlocked vote, state law dictates that the decision defaults to a denial of the application, which recommendation will be sent to the county commissioners. The county commissioners will likely consider the development’s application sometime in August, said Ada County spokesman Rich Wright.
Dry Creek Ranch proposed 1,413 acres total, with 604 acres of open space, 4,300 homes, 493,500 square feet of retail space and 156,500 square feet of office space in the foothills north of Eagle. Concerns have been raised about impacts on traffic, wildlife, open space and other issues.
