Just a few weeks before the COVID-19 pandemic began impacting Idaho, we told you about a plan to replace the old one-story Idaho Wheat Commission building in Downtown Boise with a new three-story building on the same site near the Idaho Statehouse.
Like many projects of that time, it didn’t materialize. But plans are once again brewing for the site at 821 W. State St. at the corner of 9th St.
The Wheat Commission submitted preliminary plans for review by the City of Boise earlier this summer and filed to hold a neighborhood meeting for a new four-story building on the same site.
